6th November 2021
We have come to the end of another busy yet fruitful week. The highlights of the week were Roman Day and the Inter-house Quiz which saw children compete in answering questions in various categories; general knowledge, books and entertainment, picture quiz, sports and rapid fire.
Blue and Yellow Houses carried the day with 36 points each! Red house got 33points while Green house got 27 points.
On Roman Day, the children and teachers alike came to school dressed up in colourful Roman outfits. What stood out was the fact that most of the children’s outfits were put together by the children themselves. This displayed their creativity and we truly appreciate them for the effort. Parents support also cannot go unnoticed and is appreciated.
The below comments from a few Year 4 students summarise the event;
We painted Roman shields during our Art lesson. It was fun. We also learnt Roman numerals in Maths.
I enjoyed playing gladiator. Yudish 4G
We had Roman meals which were delicious and my Roman outfit was beautiful! Valerie 4R
We coloured pictures of Roman clothes and shoes. We took photos and we all looked smart and colourful. It was a fun-filled day! Ayana 4Y
