21st January 2022
On Friday, 21st January, student council representatives and a team of teachers set out on a trip to the above center located in Kiserian.
As part of our community service initiative and in keeping with our focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) specifically Goal 2, Zero Hunger, last term we partnered with the center and our mandate was to equip the children with gardening implements to be used towards sustaining food production.
The main objective of this trip therefore was to hand over donations that our parents gave willingly and those that were purchased using collections from the non-uniform day held towards the end of last term.
There were inspirational speeches from teachers and students alike and later the Braeside team joined the center's fraternity in planting seedlings. This is what our Headgirl Zoya C. had to say;
'Our trip to CITAM was fantabulous! We took some time to get there but when we did, we had a blast! There were amazing performances and inspirational speeches. We presented the gardening tools and the best part was gardening and making friends.'
