High School Week 13 Newsletter

23rd November 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As we draw closer to the end of term, we focus on the many opportunities students have had to excel. I would like to take this chance to thank you for your continued support in helping the students achieve their goals.

Christmas Fill a Bucket Campaign

Helping others during the holiday season can bring cheer and warm feelings to those involved. The festive season is here with us, a moment to celebrate with friends and relatives. We would like to extend this celebration to others who lack the most basic of things. Our students are running the “Fill A Bucket” campaign to collect dry foods, cooking fat/oil, clothes, shoes, toiletries, sanitary towels, diapers, toys, books and other basic accessories to share with the less fortunate. We invite all parents and guardians to be part of this campaign by supporting the students and make this year’s campaign even more successful. Please find the attached poster.

World Scholars tournament of Champions

A delegation of students attended the Tournament of Champions World Scholars Cup 2019 at Yale University, New York. They were amongst students from over 60 countries and their performance was outstanding.

They received special recognition and won medals in the “Special area”, “Literature challenge” and “Scholars Challenge” categories and Team debate.

“My experience was unforgettable and enjoyable. I had a great time and made several friends from across the continents.” - Joan Argwings K. Year 11C.

“It was a very good experience as it improved my debating and writing skills and also allowed me to explore new countries. It was a magnificent experience.” - Lakshmi N. Year 11S.

We highly commend them for the good work.
