High School Week 10 Newsletter

2nd November 2019

Dear Parent/Guardian,

I am pleased to update you on the many interesting and exciting things that have been going on this week.

CIS Pre-inspection

Braeside High School

As Braeside School, we strive to improve our standards in every way so as to give quality education to our learners. In view of this, we received two guests this week from the Council of International Schools for a pre-inspection. They had meetings with various stakeholders in the school and got a chance to walk into different classes to observe teaching and learning. They commended the school for the good job we are doing. They noted that Braeside students are engaged in their own learning and they praised us for the good job we do in community service. We will share more information when they publish the report.
We now go ahead and do self-study for the next 18 months after which we will get a full inspection from CIS.

Rhino Cup Debate Challenge

Braeside High School

‘The Key Aim of higher education is to prepare students for the workforce’ This is the motion that Braeside Students proposed as the Oshwal team opposed. The Braeside team did it again and presented convincing arguments and they emerged the winners.

We take this opportunity to congratulate the team which comprises of: Tsungai M, Samantha N, Benadette M and Moses O. A special mention goes to Benadette M who was recognised as the best speaker of the debate. We wish this team the best as they proceed to the semi-finals.
